Giannini Foundation library, policy for undergraduates

Undergraduates are welcome to use library materials by appointment on site, just as other researchers. Only faculty, graduate students, ARE Visiting Scholars and staff of ARE may check materials out of the library. To make an appointment to use the Library, call (510) 642-7121 or email gflibrary@berkeley.edu

Library staff are happy to assist undergraduate students with their research in person, on the phone or by email. As the Giannini Foundation Library collection is very specialized, it is possible that library staff will need to refer students to other campus libraries such as the Bioscience and Natural Resources Library to best serve their needs.

The Library is open to all researchers by appointment. The Library is non-circulating with the exception of Agricultural and Resource Economics department members who have offices in Giannini Hall. A photocopier and scanner are available for on site use.
