ARE Professor Sofia Villas-Boas organized the amazing centennial birthday event and special fund campaign established in George's name, the George Judge Endowed Graduate Support Fund. The fund ensures that George's legacy will continue to support ARE graduate students for generations to come. The generosity of donations to the fund has inspired both George and his daughters to personally match the donation total, helping to grow the fund to almost $300,000. When first launched, the campaign goal was to raise the fund's endowment between $200,000 to $250,000—but thanks to a remarkable community effort, that goal has been surpassed.
